Bronze Zun with Phoenix Pattern from Western Zhou Dynasty

Excavation site: Excavated from Tomb No. 13 of the National Cemetery in Zhuyuangou, Baoji City in 1980

Wine container. The vessel is cylindrical, with an open square lip, a deep and slightly bulging belly, and a high ring foot. The upper part of the belly and the ring foot are decorated with two weeks of convex string patterns, and inside are two weeks of phoenix patterns with their heads turned back. The phoenix has a drooping crown and a long body, with a cloud and thunder pattern as the ground, and two symmetrical animal heads in the middle. The two weeks of phoenix patterns are sandwiched by a week of fine straight ridges. The pattern layout of the vessel is clear and regular, and the shape is exquisite.
