Gai Dou with Pan Hui pattern
Bronze ware from the Warring States Period
Total height 13.3 cm, top diameter 9.6 cm
Excavated in Fenshuiling, Changzhi City, Shanxi Province in 1954
The top of the dou is in the shape of a straight flat drum, with 18 rectangular holes around the wall for inserting spokes and building the top. The bottom of the dou gradually narrows, forming a slender trumpet shape, with 8 long triangular holes for fixing the top. The top of the dou is decorated with coiled dragon and vortex patterns.
