Hu Fu hot wine barrel

Bronze ware of the Han Dynasty
Total height 24.5 cm, diameter 23.4 cm. Unearthed in Dachuan Village, Youyu County in 1962. There are 2 pieces in total, with the same size, shape and decoration, and they are all gilded. There is a handle in the center of the lid, and there are three phoenix-shaped buttons around it, and three bear-shaped feet. The abdomen is decorated with two layers of relief animal patterns, including more than ten kinds of magical animals such as tigers, sheep, camels, cows, monkeys, dragons, phoenixes, etc. The inscription on the mouth of the vessel and the lower edge of the lid is engraved: "Zhongling Hu Fu copper wine warmer, weighing 24 catties, made in the third year of Heping (26 BC)". Zhongling was a county under the jurisdiction of Yanmen County in the Western Han Dynasty, and the county seat was in the south of Weiyuan Town, Youyu County, Shanxi Province today.
