Tripod with Ears and Hoof Feet

Bronze ware from the Spring and Autumn Period
66 cm high, 60 cm in diameter. Excavated from Shangma Cemetery in Houma City in 1961. Cooking vessel. Large mouth, narrow rim, deep belly, round bottom, ears with flaring sides, hoof-shaped feet, no lid. The upper part of the belly is decorated with coiled snake patterns, the lower part is decorated with hanging leaf patterns filled with double-headed symmetrical coiled dragon patterns, and the ears of the tripod are decorated with coiled snake patterns. The neck, shoulders and belly are divided by rope patterns. The upper end of the foot is decorated with animal face patterns.
