Mao Zun
Western Zhou bronze ware
First-class cultural relic. Wine vessel. Round, open mouth, square lip, straight neck, slightly bulging belly, high ring foot, four ridges from mouth to foot, neck decorated with eight groups of banana leaf patterns and four groups of two-to-two drooping bird patterns, belly decorated with two rows of two-to-two long-tailed phoenix patterns, middle decorated with straight ridges, ring foot decorated with two groups of curled-tailed phoenix patterns, all with cloud-thunder pattern as the base, with 36 characters on the bottom. (Explanation: On the day of Dingsi in the sixth month of a certain year, King Mu of Zhou encouraged Mao in Zheng and gave him a ribbon. Mao was grateful to King Mu of Zhou and wrote down this event and cast it on his father's sacrificial vessel.)
