Original introduction:

The Horse Stepping on Flying Swallow was unearthed in 1978. It is also known as the Heavenly Horse. It is a bronze artifact of the Eastern Han Dynasty. It was unearthed in 1969 from the tomb of the military general Zhang and his wife who guarded Zhangye during the Eastern Han Dynasty in Leitai, Wuwei, Gansu. The image is vigorous and handsome, with a unique demeanor. The horse raised its head and neighed, with a thick trunk, slender limbs, and light legs and hooves. Three feet were in the air, galloping forward, and one foot stepped on the flying swallow and landed. A huge horse stepped on the back of a galloping little swallow, and the little swallow looked back in amazement, showing the majestic posture of the horse soaring and galloping. Its bold conception and romantic technique give people a thrilling feeling and are breathtaking.

The Horse Stepping on Flying Swallow is cast in bronze with a layer of green copper rust on the surface. It is 34.5 cm high, 45 cm long, 10.1 cm wide, and weighs about 7.15 kg. This concept is ingenious and scientific, with a small overall support point, but a stable center of gravity. The inspiration for the "Horse Stepping on Flying Swallow" may come from the ancient art of horse physiognomy. There are different interpretations of the meaning of this shape. One interpretation is that the horse is extremely fast, and another interpretation is that the horse is a mythical celestial horse, so it is above the bird.
