Original introduction:
Fuhao Jue is a cultural relic from the late Shang Dynasty. It is 26.3cm tall and 21.6cm high. It was unearthed in Tomb No. 5 in Xiaotun, Anyang, Henan in 1976 and is now collected in the Museum of Chinese History. This Jue has obvious characteristics of bronze ritual vessels from the late Shang Dynasty. It has a long spout, a pointed tail, and an umbrella-shaped top column. There is also a high door edge under the spout, tail, and body. The body, spout, and tail of the Jue are all decorated with thunder patterns and cicada patterns. It is equipped with a three-prism cone-shaped solid foot. The whole shape is very delicate.
Fuhao's tomb is the only intact royal tomb of the Shang Dynasty in Yinxu. On the tomb is a hall called "Mu Xinzong" by oracle bone inscriptions. It is said that the hall was originally a ancestral temple built by King Wu Ding of Shang to worship his wife Fuhao, and his temple name was "Xin". A total of 1,928 cultural relics of different materials such as bronze, jade, gemstone, and ivory were unearthed from Fuhao's tomb. Fuhao Jue is one of the most exquisite bronzes among them.
Jue, also known as Jue cup, is an ancient drinking vessel among Chinese bronze ware. According to historical records, people of noble status used Jue. Ancient emperors granted titles and fiefs to princes as a reward to the recipients. Later, "Jue" became the abbreviation of "title", and "promotion" came from this. With Jue cup in hand, the right time, right place and right people mean overcoming difficulties, being invincible, being promoted to a noble, and celebrating victory. Modern Jue cups are mainly used in business public relations activities and are the best choice for giving to superiors, leaders, business partners, etc.
