Original introduction:

The sculpture on the Sanxingdui bronze sacred tree, the Sunbird, was unearthed from Sanxingdui Sacrificial Pit No. 2. It is 7.8 cm high and 4.3 cm wide. The shape of the utensil is a copper bird standing on the fruit of a copper flower. There are three crown feathers raised on the bird's head, with a hole perforated at the tip of each feather, which should be used to express the colorful patterns on the tips of the crown feathers. The tail is upturned, and the tail feathers are divided into three branches up and down, like a peacock with its tail spread out. This cultural relic is a Sanxingdui bronze from the Shang Dynasty and is now collected in the Sanxingdui Museum.
