Mandarin Duck and Twin Magpies Wrapped with Flowers and Branches Mirror
This mirror is in the shape of a sunflower with eight petals, a round interior and a round button. The mirror is shaped like a blooming petal. The main pattern is a mandarin duck and a pair of magpies circling four branches. The four birds hold ribbons in their mouths, and the ribbons float in the same way. Two of them spread their wings and fly, and a magpie drags a long tail. The mandarin ducks stand quietly on the branches, with their wings not spread, looking at each other from a distance. The eight petals on the edge are alternately surrounded by auspicious cloud patterns and bees and butterflies. This type of bronze mirror has been unearthed or handed down from generation to generation. It was a very popular decoration at the time. The Shaanxi Fufeng Museum has a mirror of this type, which can be used for reference.
