Bronze ware from the Western Zhou Dynasty
Height 23.7 cm, diameter 16.4 cm. Excavated from Tomb No. 13 of Jinhou Cemetery in Beizhao Village, Quwo County in 1992. Food warmer. Excavated from the tomb of the wife of Jin Wuhou. Square lip, slightly bulging belly, double ears, three curled-tail bird-shaped flat feet, three feet cast with a round tray, three "cross"-shaped holes on the bottom of the tray. The neck is decorated with three groups of facing back-looking curled dragon patterns, and the inner wall of the belly is cast with the inscription "Jinhou made a tripod". The warming tripod is a food cooking utensil that can be kept warm by adding charcoal in the tray.
